From the outside you just might miss this fiery French bistro. Once inside be welcomed and dazzled by Chef Jean-Pierre Challet’s fantastical menu which puts a modern spin on French classics. Seared braised beef with artichoke and black trumpet ravioli is meticulous, fitting beautifully together like a puzzle. Fresh baked bread is enriched with milk, eggs and butter to give it an incredible flavour and a creamy richness that is hard to find elsewhere. Duck Magret à l’Orange with Grand Marnier infuses floral and citrus notes that provide the perfect amount of acidity to round out the dish. Favourite plates to share: steak tartar and lovely croquettes. Great wine and food pairing along with helpful servers make for an almost flawless evening. J.P Challet’s remarkably clean and inspiring menu is full of stars – the hardest part is deciding what to order.
