What I love most about Rodney’s is the feeling you get when you walk through the door, the ambiance is incredibly calming – comforting.  And picture upon picture of celebrities, seafaring oddities, and hand written notes from staff to patrons and owners.  If your craving for oysters is in the summertime this oyster bar is the only place to go.  Not only is their patio hidden, its lush warm and neatly set over aged cobblestones, its modern-day Eden.  They have a fabulous bar staffed with charming bartenders that keep it interesting as you decide what your pleasure may be.   Certain oysters taste best in particular periods of the year and the best of the season is served here year round.  From luscious oysters to formidable Alaskan king crabs that can be ordered a head of time for larger tables.  Behind those big brown doors on King St. west exists a serenity, that also makes killer Manhattan clam chowder – spiced and deep red.  An extensive beer and wine list full of favorites that will have you wining and dining all night.  It’s unfortunate they do not sell spirits, for a savory Caesar would make perfect sense with my Atlantic Crassostrea Virginica.

ABOUT ME

I have lived in Toronto my whole life. I'm first generation German/Polish. My obsession with food began when I was young, watching my parents cook dinner, helping with barbeques. I try a new restaurant every week and I love to travel. There isn't anything I wouldn't try or do. I love sharing all my food adventures!
