I was very much impressed with the quality and variety of their burger menu. The décor is modern and the staff is eager to please. This place has a similar feel to that of a franchise burger joint except it has soul and patties made fresh daily. I like many others have become obsessed with finding the perfect burger and Holy Chuck is very close to it.
The “Holy Chuck burger” is incredible, juicy and packed with flavour and seasoning. Loaded with bacon, double cheeseburger patties and caramelized onions, not needing any additional toppings or sauces – oh yes it’s that good. Another alluring sandwich is the Greek Bahahastard. Two lamb patties, caramelized onion, fresh mint and garlic aioli stays juicy and full of flavour . There are so many interesting and intriguing sandwich choices the hardest part is choosing your burger. Fries are fluffy and soft inside, crunchy and salty outside, order them with a side of house-made lemon aioli that contains fresh lemon zest. If one enjoys a hardier side try the Holy Chuck fries topped with bacon, cheese and a sweet savory chili made with beer and chocolate, nice texture and flavour.
This is the place if one is into wild flavour combinations. Would you choose Wasabi, green onion, fresh ginger or bacon, fudge, sea salt? These aren’t potato chip dips they’re extraordinary milkshakes – a rush for the taste buds. My personal favourite is the Nutella and salted caramel shake, served with a giant straw to ensure you get the perfect balance of salty caramel to silky nutty goodness.
If you have some room left over after all that crispy, fatty, sweet goodness then pat yourself on the back and order a holy funnel cake. Vanilla ice cream, icing sugar drenched with fresh pineapple sauce that’s so rich, so good, and so worth it.
