In this Italian restaurant the experience in whole is better than the sum of its parts.  The food is tasty and the atmosphere amusing.  The dishes are thoughtfully put together and the prices reflect it.  Fresh herbs are grown just outside the kitchen window in a neatly fashion.  The “Lumache” antipasti dish is one of my favorites, paring escargot with crema bel paese cheese in a light pastry served in a garlic tarragon sauce that pleasantly flavoursome.  Dinning alone or with friends I find my experience always pleasant especially when the service is spot on, engaging and just plain old fun. The décor hasn’t changed much since the place opened in ’85 but with such a warm reception and oodles of regulars they must be doing something right.

ABOUT ME

I have lived in Toronto my whole life. I'm first generation German/Polish. My obsession with food began when I was young, watching my parents cook dinner, helping with barbeques. I try a new restaurant every week and I love to travel. There isn't anything I wouldn't try or do. I love sharing all my food adventures!
