This commissary looking eatery serves up tasty Korean cuisine at a very reasonable price.  The servers are warm and accommodating.  Customers can be seen filling the tables at all hours of the day and night; especially Friday and Saturday nights when wait times can be long.

Listening to my waitress’s recommendation I decided to try Gam Ja Tang which is a hearty fall off the bone tender pork and potato soup.  Secret spicy ingredients like green onion and ground wild sesame come together in a rich comforting broth.  I also tried Jap Chae – clear stir fried spring noodles having a delightful chewy texture and delicate flavours, with assorted vegetables that include crunchy black trumpet mushrooms in a garlicky-sweet soy sauce.

A giant carafe heralds the dangerously refreshing Soju house-made cocktail.  Light soda bubbles mixed with sweetened yogurt and Korean Soju invokes thoughts of melted vanilla ice cream – addictively delicious.

ABOUT ME

I have lived in Toronto my whole life. I'm first generation German/Polish. My obsession with food began when I was young, watching my parents cook dinner, helping with barbeques. I try a new restaurant every week and I love to travel. There isn't anything I wouldn't try or do. I love sharing all my food adventures!
