The rooftop patio overlooks the beautiful Bloor West Village high above the street below. Earth takes up the entire space of a building, basement to rooftop. Many have tried to fill the large space before it, unsuccessfully. And after a lengthy climb up a few flights of stairs, I reach the adorable tree-lined rooftop patio.
I decide to start with a Caesar (green peppercorn and garlic infused vodka, spices, Clamato) that sounded better than it tasted. My sister’s Margarita (tequila, triple sec, and lime juice) was incredibly sour and had to be sent back, and the second one was much better.
Ontario pork bits are delightful. Crispy fried pork belly, grainy creton, and a wonderful homemade grainy mustard that is slightly sweet pairing perfectlly with the meat.
The menu is clean, simple and local. Servers are spot on. This is a great summertime venue.
