Down the street from my house, F.B.I has been the talk of Toronto’s west end. Many have stated that Full Blooded Italian (F.B.I) makes the best delivery pizza in the area, but I needed to try it for myself.
The menu is simple, with only 23 toppings it’s much easier to create the pie of your dreams – no one wants to choose from a hundred ingredients. I decided to build my own pizza and started out with San Marzano tomato sauce on a white crust – supplied by Queen Margherita Pizza – topped with Prosciutto di Parma, caramelized onions, Gorgonzola and Arugula.
I heard a knock at my door and jumped up in excitement. When I opened the warm box I am surprised at the amount of arugula on the pizza. The prosciutto is overcooked and the mozzarella – rubbery, however, the caramelized onions tasted smoky and sweet. The crust was a little over done and didn’t have that delightful chewy texture.
Would I order again from F.B.I pizza? No, it just didn’t have that spark, that life that keeps one interested.
