Its just a hop west of Spadina on the strip of King West not known for having the best track record for budding businesses, is a great place for people watching.

Starting out with Caraquet oysters from cape Breton – salty and plump flavourful! One doesn’t need condiments.  A buck a shuck on Tuesdays.

The special of the day: a house made curry cheese pate with homemade short bread and walnut and ginger crostini.  My server mentioned curry but the dish is loaded with it and not in the good way, I really wasn’t a fan.

Then mussels a la vodka with a side of frites disappoints.  I asked what kind of sauce with dish was served in and was told it was similar to that of a rose sauce.  When the dish arrived the sauce was red, heavy with bacon and greasy.

Not worth the $14.95 price tag, or the upset stomach either.  I find mollusks do best when their natural flavours are accentuated.  The fries were tasty.  Servers should be schooled on the menu.
