Wine and design with iYellow and EQ3
EQ3 has a second location in Liberty Village and tonight with iYellow Wine Club and Crush wines I enjoy an evening of inspiration through imagination. The space is bright and the vibe, fun.
Crush winery from Ontario’s Niagara region pairs perfectly with the pub food. Four different Crush wines are served with five different types of Hors d’oeuvres from Williams Landing http://www.williamslanding.ca/ . I have paired up the wines with my favorite snacks from the evening.
Aromas of apple and tropical fruit pair Crush First White 2011 with sweet coconut shrimp. A light-bodied Crush Riesling Gewürztraminer 2011 serves up fresh flavours of pineapple and citrus making it a perfect partner to skewered chicken.
Crush First Red 2011 has a smoky aroma on the nose and a touch of spice of the palate perfect with a freshly made veggie burger (mushrooms, multigrain rice, raisins, dates, sunflower seeds). And finally a garnet coloured Crush Midnight Cab 2011 sinks its rich berry teeth into a juicy Beretta Ranch burger rounding out with rich earthy flavours.
I’m getting inspired with all these design ideas and have a new favorite VQA wine – Crush. The night was really fun, walking around sipping wine and shopping for new design ideas while munching on tasty treats. Looking forward to the next event!
