Cafe Shu

Café Shu        416.979.9400         http://www.cafeshu.com/          open daily

I was on my way to try a new restaurant I happened upon the grand opening of an interesting little resto.  Café Shu is located underneath totum fitness club (http://www.totum.ca) and focuses on healthy food for the everyday person.  The space is softly lit and whimsical. I was able to try a bit of their holiday menu and snap a few photos.

Juices rich in vitamins A, B, C, and E like “Green Peace” (seasonal greens, apple and lemon) promotes healing and healthy digestion.  The “Citrus Zinger” (grapefruit, lemon, orange, cayenne, ginger) helps to detoxify the blood and really refreshes you.

Some of the evenings snacks include: a silky corn puree served with wontons, spiced walnut pumpkin bites, creamy mushroom tarts, and dreamy candy cane crusted gluten-free brownies.

I didn’t have a full dining experience but from what I’ve tasted I would definitely come back and try one of their fresh salads or spicy baked wings – without oil !

ABOUT ME

I have lived in Toronto my whole life. I'm first generation German/Polish. My obsession with food began when I was young, watching my parents cook dinner, helping with barbeques. I try a new restaurant every week and I love to travel. There isn't anything I wouldn't try or do. I love sharing all my food adventures!
