This is the kind of warm, causal spot where friends can wile away a relaxing evening over bourbon inspired cocktails and well-executed Korean tapas.  Southern U.S.A meets Korean hipster.  Classic hip-hop plays in the background bringing you back to your high school days. Servers causally roll about the room, friendly and carefree.  A great first date place, and a new trend to look out for.

The Reverend Palmer cocktail mixes sour with strong ice tea, and a Masatake swizzle,  shaken with coconut sugar and an aged Japanese whisky is refreshing and summery.  The Bulleit smash (perfect for beginner bourbon drinkers) lightly muddles honey with mint and lemon.   Spicy scallion and avocado slaw hits the table first with a vinegary-sweet dressing.  A mixture of rich spices including a fragrant curry makes the squash poutine a standout.

Next Saam beef short ribs with a spicy Kimchi fried rice is crunchy and comforting with condiments on and buttery lettuce wrappers on the side.  The best compliment to this dish is a refreshing rum inspired cocktail (not on the menu) with lime juice, mint, and peach bitters.  A last minute order of messy O.S. wings proves a good idea.  Heavily coated and sweetly spiced this crispy dish is another great pick.

ABOUT ME

I have lived in Toronto my whole life. I'm first generation German/Polish. My obsession with food began when I was young, watching my parents cook dinner, helping with barbeques. I try a new restaurant every week and I love to travel. There isn't anything I wouldn't try or do. I love sharing all my food adventures!
