A last minute decision brings me to Buonanotte, a beautiful supper club originally from Montreal.  I love hitting up a few restaurants on a Saturday night, tasting a few dishes in each.  This Italian restaurant turns into a lively bar Friday and Saturday nights.  However, I am drawn to the wood-fired pizza oven imported from Naples Italy.  The aromas of sweet crackling wood and smoke make it almost impossible to resist ordering a pizza.  

Fatty prosciutto cotto tops the “Capricciosa” with earthy mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and mozzarella.   The chewy crust singed with charcoal is slightly sweet, and the toppings caramelized from the hot oven flawlessly blend onto the thin, firm crust. 


This place is gorgeous and Toronto’s latest hot spot.
