California Cruising with iYellow Wine Club @ The Hoxton
Smooth wines, artful comfort food and jazzy beats have become somewhat of a constant at Angela Aiello’s wine events and this was no exception. The event was held at The Hoxton, the food supplied by Parts and Labour, and the wines brought in from California. Among the absolutely delicious my personal favorites: 100% Pinot Noir from Hahn winery (http://www.hahnwinery.com), sweet plum and pepper 7 Deadly Zins from Michael David winery (www.michaeldavidwinery.com) and the smoky berry North Coast Crush from Dreaming Trees Wines (www.dreamingtreewines.com) . Californian wines are very diverse and complex. Soil composition, altitude and temperature all plays a vital role in producing an excellent wine and this state has a large territory for discovering the best of each.
The kitchen at Parts and Labour cleverly matches the exceptional wines by serving grilled chicken burgers, crunchy tuna sashimi pizzas, cool sushi rolls, and hardy beef tacos.
I always make a new friend and learn something new at these fabulous get-togethers. I can’t wait to see you guys at the next event!
