Another great evening kicks off a toast to ten years at the Intercontinental Hotel on Front Street in Toronto under the gorgeous atrium of the Azure restaurant. In the sumptuous fabulosity of this carefully refined space, party goers connect over sexy lounge Bellosound music and an array of cocktails while the kitchen sends out fabulous locally-sourced Canadian fare.
On one end Canadian bison sits perfectly cooked over a celeriac puree, on the other, a cheese lover’s dream station.
Other scrumptious items include: oyster shooters, creamy foie gras with wine jelly, smoked salmon with caviar over crème fraiche blinis, vibrant stuffed pasta, fragrant bisque, greens wrapped in prosciutto and autumn pumpkin. Desserts excel: amaretto pear cheesecake, refreshing berry sorbet and sticky toffee pudding.
I can’t say enough how impressed I am. The service is flawless –people have come to expect that from Intercontinental hotels – but it’s the genuine sense of hospitality that has kept regulars coming back for 10 years.
