Po’ Boys 647.352.3369 http://www.poboys.ca/ lunch & dinner daily
This Cajun spot serves up tasty sandwiches with creative toppings. I expected to find a takeout shop but it’s actually a quaint little restaurant with tablecloths and a cute bar. On this visit I ordered takeout, though on my next visit I would love to stay for dinner. I asked for the two most popular sandwiches on the menu and ordered them to go.
The blacken Cajun catfish Po’ Boy is spicy and slightly charred served on a baguette is a little delight. Sides of fresh-cut lightly battered potatoes and sweet potato fries really does surprise, along with a garlicky herbed dip. Crunchy yet earthy, fried oyster and smoky bacon-chip po’ boy is heaven.
I discovered Po’ Boys with my vicinity rewards card. It’s a reward card that can be used at various locations around the city where you can collect points and get rewards by just a quick tap at the checkout. www.vicinityrewards.ca or www.facebook.com/vicinityrewards
