I have no idea why I didn’t stop and try this place sooner, the donghnuts are amazing! Not only do they look awesome but they have that I-just-drove-by-the-Christie-factory smell to them. And the taste, oh my, like no other doughnut you have ever eaten unless you lived back in the day. Ashley Jacot De Boinod (owner and baker) believes in using natural ingredients and making each one by hand fresh every morning, and the result is unadulterated donut bliss.
Dense yet light at the same time; inside the cute little shop half a dozen goes for $8: lemon poppy seed, vanilla glaze, Boston cream, Nutella puff, cinnamon sugar, and salted caramel (my favorite).
