Another year another change for the Story’s Building, and this one proves to be the finest yet. As I approach the door I hear laughter, the clinking of glass and the sweet aromas of earthy spices and toasted caramel. Inside a small staircase leads me into a room warmly lit by awkwardly fabulous chandeliers and walls adorned with clay dishware. The lively crowd inhabiting this sprawling subterranean destination is a mix of old and new faces in the industry scene.
The décor reflects the Eastern Mediterranean menu; richly spiced dishes inspired by locally sourced and imported ingredients coalesce to create a warm ambiance inside the small space. I am very much looking forward to diving into the menu on my next return.
