Sugarwink is an online bakery specializing in fresh baked cupcakes, custom cakes, and more – using simple ingredients. Baking from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients for an everyday treat, or for a special event: birthdays, weddings, anytime. Gluten-free and vegan options available. I was lucky enough to be contacted by Seema Panesar, owner of Sugarwink to deliver a few samples of her cupcake passion for me to enjoy – and that I did.
The chocolate chip cookie dough is made with cocoa, flour, eggs, sugar, and coffee. The chocolate chip cookie dough centre is made from scratch using flour, milk, brown sugar, vanilla,butter and chocolate chips. The cupcake is topped with cookie dough frosting; butter, icing sugar, brown sugar, milk, flour, and vanilla. Then garnished with chocolate chips.
The chocolate salted caramel is made with cocoa, flour, eggs, sugar, and coffee – enhancing the cocoa flavour. Salted caramel is made from scratch using sugar and cream. (a vegan version is available using coconut milk and cream). Finished with meringue buttercream; egg whites, butter, and sugar.
The coconut cream cupcake uses flour, butter, milk, eggs, vanilla, and sugar. The coconut cream filling is made from scratch using eggs, sugar, milk, corn starch, toasted coconut and vanilla. This cupcake is topped with our meringue buttercream and coated with toasted coconut.
