I was invited to the media opening, an hour before the public was allowed to join the evenings festivities of “free burgers”. Not many menu options but I like that because can never decide.
Love the open kitchen, it adds a bit of liveliness to the soaring ceiling and brightly coloured interior. Burgers are an admirable balance between farm fresh, Canadian AAA sirloin and the something-for-everyone demands of a fast food menu. Tonight we enjoyed a 4 oz Fresh Burger with a side of fries and a burger loaded with bacon and caramelized onion sided with a poutine.
I like the burger. Nicely seasoned, balanced toppings on a pillowy bun… It’s how Burgers Priest used to be before they sold themselves out. I know the burger thing is saturated, however, this holds a “ma & pa” spot in my heart. I left satiated. And after looking at the ’round the corner lineup, I feel special.
