Ciao is a nice wine bar, an archetypal Yorkville hangout filled with the obscure conversation and bubbly chatter of area socialites. Though the menu looks good on paper, its kinda plastic lacking in heart and soul, but definitely date-night calibre.
Polenta fries with Gorgonzola dip are salty, funky and wholly addictive, and so are the fried artichoke and zucchini with roasted red pepper aioli and citrus aioli. Not a fan of the under seasoned Carpaccio or the watery tomato bruschetta. I was rather unimpressed with winelist, a few evocative list descriptions and even a few tasting flights, would better service the restaurant.
