I was invited to a preview of the Taste of Market Street: a collection of unique and diverse restaurants serving a prix fixe lunch menu on April 10th. The idea is to provide guests with a taste of what makes Market Street uniquely delicious. The stops include a Barcelona-inspired bistro, an innovative Italian eatery, a French roast coffee house, a slow pressed juice bar, fresh from the market locally-sourced seafood and a beautiful modern Indian restaurant.
This was one of the stops on our “Marketlicious” tour.
A much needed wake-up-coffee-refresher was our second last stop on this historic downtown trip. Balzac’s is named in honour of coffee lover and French novelist Honoré de Balzac. The beautiful artisanal café design is matched equally by the warm roasted French press, using sustainable, local and natural organic fair trade beans. The sweets are spicy, funky and wholly addictive.
