The 2015 Gourmet Food and Wine Expo, features Tutored Tastings . I was invited to the InterVin Gold tasting hosted by Christopher Waters, Co-founder & Editor of VINES Magazine. What a blast it was! We tasted our way through eight top-scoring wines from the 2015-2016 InterVin International Wine Awards. These wines were highlights from a competition that saw more than 1,400 wines from various countries put to the test.
We were so impressed sipping our way through the best-of-the-best of this renowned international competition. My favourite was Steller’s Jay Pinnacle from B.C ‘s Okanagan Valley. This sparkling wine is crisp with flavors of dried cranberry and strawberry. The palate is rich and intense with notes of toasty brioche and a hint of nuttiness 🙂
If you are heading into Toronto go the the Gourmet Food and Wine Expo. And if you’re going to the show, check out one of the tutored tastings!
