I know it was summer when I visited. But I still want to give you the heads ups on this AWESOME micro brewery located in the Roncesvalles village. It’s Industrial. Open concept. Think converted garage, reclaimed garage; my brother mentioned he would like to live in a place like this (with all these people too? What? Lol!). Like a beer hall, like the Brunswick on Bloor Street back in the day… but more modern and airy.
This area was starving for a place like this: a micro brewery with the gorgeous patio. And the best feature – it has molded into the neighborhood decor in such a way that it heightens the area.
Oven fresh pretzel bites (sweet grainy mustard made in house) with fresh pretzel puffs, as I call them. A must order because of how awesome it melts with beer.
Beer-battered cheese curds with Bandit APA batter, house dip and ketchup. I didn’t think I would love this dish because of the beer factor but I do! Bite sized morsels of Quebec cheese curds, dipped in ketchup satisfy like grilled cheese sandwiches.
Fresh cut fries were super flavourful and salty; love the grainy Parmesan – a frylover’s dream. Salmon gravelox is cured in house with brown sugar and salt, served with fresh summer salad (bell peppers, onion jalapeño, and dill).
