This is one of my favorite spots year round. On Sundays Spencer’s has one of the most amazing champagne brunches in the GTA (Sunday 9:30am-2:30pm). In the summer the patio is beautiful, overlooking the lake, cityscape and a shallow pool, perfect for rolling up your pants and dipping your toes.
I know it’s not really patio season now but keep this in mind for summer; hey, the days are getting longer now… Summer is coming!!
A suped-up Caesar pairs perfectly with buttery east coast oysters – love the peppery mignonette.
Creamy hummus topped with pickled vegetables and briny olives satisfy as an appetizer, alongside Caesar salad, made using little gem lettuce (a sweet miniature version of Romaine lettuce), white anchovy, and garlic bread croutons.
Icelandic Arctic Char is UBER crisp (the skin) and so moist, flaking delicately away with each bite. A sprinkle of lemon with a bite of Ontario asparagus balances the dish to PERFECTION!
