My boyfriend and I had to visit this spot. It seems to be the new thing in Toronto, eating seafood with plastic gloves on a plastic tablecloth. The daily catch arrives in a plastic bag seasoned to your request. I had a great time and loved the casual atmosphere – so fun to eat with your hands! It’s a little messy but it’s a good laugh. Here is how it works…
First choose your catch: crawfish (seasonal), king crab leg ($36.95lb), Dungeness crab (seasonal price), snow crabs legs $18.95lb, shrimps $12.95lb, clams ($11.95lb), lobster (seasonal price). Then choose your flavour: Cajun Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic sauce, the captain’s boil (all flavours mixed). And finally choose your heat: mild, medium, spicy and FIRE! Then the kitchen boil’s the catch, tosses it in spice and serves it as is.
This evening we decided on lemon pepper crawfish, garlic lobster and
the Captain’s Boil dungeness crab – all mild ’cause I’m not to fond of spice.
There are other items on the menu as well, like garlic toast and seafood platters along with a plethora of tasty sides! I can’t wait to come back and try them all – they could be a meal themselves 🙂
