This is the first time I’ve been here since they moved. I vibe is EXACTLY the same: dimly lit interior, servers with their own agendas, the local crowd hanging at the bar, lobster tanks, crispy noodles, odd dips, etc…. It’s just a tad larger and the decor fresher.
My boyfriend took me out for my birthday, which was in March (yes, I know I’m behind), and like always the service was sublime. Dry short ribs arrive to start with the house salad, drizzled in French – the way I like.
Wings arrived naked – not bad, but nothing special due to the limited amount of dips. Calamari, lightly battered needs a slight adjustment – ask your server to go light on the oyster sauce.
Ribs are OK, nothing special – maybe a touch too dry. Sauteed greens with shrimp over crisp noodles are a hit. I think you can’t go wrong with noodles at this spot, they will make em’ how you like.
Even though the food was hit and miss, but… the excellent service made up for it. Check it out! Love you TTL.
