The restaurant is beautiful, located on the beach in the east end. A patio surrounded by trees has lush greenery in the summer. How would I know that, attending the opening in the dead of winter? Well, I I’ve been to this location many times before under different names to relax under the warm sun on one of the best patios in Toronto. In the summer – this is the spot to be. I know Neruda won’t disappoint.
Inside Neruda, named after Pablo Neruda romantic artistry of famed Nobel Prize laureate , looks like a candlelight dinner. An open kitchen with the largest wood fire grill IN THE WORLD and dry aging protein decorate the right side as you enter. Towards the back there is a café and stairs the upper level where the nightlife party happens.
The food is matches the beauty of this spot with rich and delicious flavours – a mixture of Latin, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern. Being a food blogger has its perks. On opening night, we sampled much from the menu. Here we go –
Oysters from RAW catering – wow! This catering company is revolutionary, as it offers a roaming oyster bar among many other services – simply fantastic!
